The weather has finally cooled off a bit. Take advantage of it and enjoy the cooler temperatures!
- Go apple and/or pumpkin picking
- Take a leaf-peeping excursion
- Get lost in a corn maze
- Play a game of touch/flag football
- Go for a hayride
- Rent a cabin in the mountains or Ozarks
- Tailgate at your local high school football game
- Plant bulbs and mums in your garden and fertilize your lawn
- Trim your roses back to knee high and water all your trees
- Take a drive in the country or go pheasant hunting if that is more your style
- Visit the Louisburg Cider Mill, American Royal and/or Renaissance Festival
- Make and hang a pinecone bird feeder
- Collect colorful leaves and make placemats with them
- Bake an apple, pear, pumpkin or sweet potato pie
- Buy winter squash from a farmer’s market
- Make candy or caramel apples and enjoy eating them
