In some instances, obtaining third quarter 2013 numbers has been quite a challenge. The Federal shutdown limited some data from even being collected while the release of other numbers was delayed.

For those of you who like to track the national numbers, you may be interested in the America’s Economy Mobile App created by the U.S. Census Bureau. The app provides real-time updates for 19 key economic indicators from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Census Bureau, and Bureau of Economic Analysis. Three indicators from BLS were added to the app earlier this month: nonfarm payroll employment, the Producer Price Index, and the Consumer Price Index. These indicators join the unemployment rate and 15 others that were already available.
